How to Survive a Remodel Through Christmas

The holidays are a time for joy, family, and gifts. What is a better way to spoil yourself and your family than improving your home. If you're in the middle of a remodeling process during this festive season, don't despair! With a little planning and creativity, you can still upgrade your halls and keep your home merry and bright. We are here to help you sleigh your home this Christmas. Here are a few tips:

1. HO, HO, HO, HOLIDAY DECORATIONS.

This is where your creativity shines brighter than the north pole star. Draped string lights from the scaffolding or the exposed beams would add a Christmas spark. Christmas ornaments can be hung from door knobs or ladder rungs. That’s not all, you can even create a festive centerpiece out of construction materials like paint cans and wood scraps.

2.Unfinished, UNBOTHERED!

If your home is under construction that doesn’t mean it’s bad looking. It’s just getting ready for the new year; it’s preparing for the new year’s resolutions. Why hide it when you can lean into it! Use exposed brick as a backdrop for your Christmas tree. Hang garland from pipes or unfinished doorways. Get your kids involved in painting drop cloths, it’s a fun activity and the kind of Christmas bonding we all look for in these jolly days.

3. Pretty Little things!

The smallest details can make a huge difference. Add stockings filled with candy canes, cookies and construction themes goodies. Light candles for a warm and inviting glow. Play Christmas Carols in the background. These pretty little touches will help you create a good spirit, when your home is going through its 2024 transformation.

4. Family Quality Time!

Involving all family members in the decorating process is a great way to make the most of the experience. Let your kids help you choose and create homemade ornaments. Have a family pizza night in the middle of the living room floor. The shared experience will create lasting memories, witnessing a home’s transformation and enjoying it creates a sense of home that we all long for.

5. Relax, it's Christmas!

At the end of the day, the holidays are about kicking back and spending time with loved ones. Don't let the stress of a remodel get in the way of that. Take time to relax and enjoy the season. Remember, a perfect home isn’t a perfect house; creating happy memories with the people you love is the perfect home. So crank up the music, and get ready to sleigh your home!
